I was wondering if the practice now on sunday (15th) was open for non members?
I’m located in Greensboro so I would have a 1.5 hour to get there but it would most def be worth it to have some fun racing with other people.
I started building and flying 250 racers 9 months ago when i moved here to the US from sweden.
Mostly I fly by myself due to it’s hard finding other people that fly 250’s around Greensboro. The rc-clubs around here mostly fly gas planes and i have yet to see any quad pilots.
I would love to take a drive to Matthews on sunday and fly with some fellow 250 racers. What time do u guys start at? and are there any possibilities of charging lipo’s with my charger?
We don’t have any power at the park so some people are connecting a charge to their car batteries and charging that way.
We are only just starting out so the turnouts have been about 8 to 10 people so far and of those maybe four have been actually flying.
Not sure what the turn out will be this weekend with it being Valentines day, but I hope its good.
We have a new field we are going to be setting up soon as well with about 4o acres of space in one large field and another medium field next top it. It’s going to be great and allow us to create a much more diverse course setups. Nice open for beginners and more technical for experienced pilots.
The day normally starts by 3pm and goes till 5:30 or so.
Keep an eye on the Meetup page for any updates about this weekend 🙂
Practice, Practice, Practice. Come on out and fly the course.
